The King company creates impressive RPG titles that players love. One of their recent releases is Legend of Solgard, which blends RPG and strategy gameplay elements. Plot

The Legend of Solgards’ plot resembles Nordic legend stories. In this land, people live side by side with magical beings and gods in a blissful harmony. However, one day the prophecy of Ragnarok would start to come true. Embla is a female warrior from the forest who protects the various creatures living in the woods. She relies on her power of The Sun Godness to keep the winter at bay, as she knows it will freeze all the Solgardians except herself. Her goal is to bring glory back to her country and to prevent this season from ever happening again.


Gameplay

In Legend of Solgard, players and enemies face off in the center of the battlefield. Each side can move three times during a single turn. The game is played in a turn-based fashion; attacks are only executed when the player's turn comes around. To successfully complete this game, you must destroy the ice walls of the enemy before breaking through their walls to face their defenses. Additionally, you must protect your team from enemy attacks while neutralizing the enemy defenses in front of your own ice wall. If your health drops to zero, the enemy will overwhelm your land with monsters and destroy everything. Each battle location presents different challenges that require you to constantly adjust and improve your strategies. You must group the same-colored creatures in a straight line before they can damage the enemy on-screen. To attack an enemy, you need to arrange three similar colored creatures into a line. Combining your creatures lends power to your creations. For example, when you line up four identical creatures, such as frogs or birds, they transform into a larger and more formidable creature. You can also create Plus, L and T-shaped arrangements by pairing similar creatures. To increase defensive power, you have to arrange three creatures of the same color in a horizontal line. You must also arrange multiple layers of defense; they can work together to absorb incoming damage and heal your team of animals.


Special creatures exist.

In Legend of Solgard, special creatures play an important role because they help Embla fight the winter monsters by themselves. This is because Legend of Solgard has a champion system similar to League of Legends’ creature systems. Each creature has its own story and is categorized based on color, race, strength, and rarity. You can only choose one creature color at a time. Each game mode has different roles assigned to each creature. They can be offense, defense or support, with Hobling as a perfect example. Because of their skills and abilities, each race — such as Spirits, Beasts, Folks, Warriors and Wights — fulfills a specific role. You should also take into account the rare, which are creatures that are more powerful than common ones. There are four different types of rare, each one more powerful than the last.
